Black Sabbath: Self Titled (1970 Album)

In the begging there was Sabbath. Without a doubt, this is where it all started. This week (and slightly off schedule) at Adrenochrome Music we have offered some of our favourite albums within the Doom/Stoner Metal genre. Sleep, Electric Wizard, Church of Misery and Acrimony have all produced albums that have influenced the progression of the movement. Their contribution, which is ample, pales in comparison to that offered by Sabbath, for Sabbath have written all the music ever whilst travelling through space and time

and Mohammed, they invented Post-Metal before they even envisioned Metal!

So, here it is, the final Doom album of the week ‘Black Sabbath – Black Sabbath’. It’s just the bees knees, the dogs bollocks, the cats pyjamas and well… the kippers knickers.

1 Black Sabbath 6:21
 2 The Wizard 4:24
3 Behind the Wall of Sleep 3:38
 4 N.I.B. 6:06
5 Evil Woman (Don’t Play Your Games With Me) 3:25
 6 Sleeping Village 3:46
 7 Warning 10:32

One more thing, Adrenochrome Music present, for your continuing Doom education, a host of our favourite records for your audible delectation:

Ahab – The Call of the Wretched Sea (2006)

Black Pyramid – Black Pyramid (2009)

Katatonia -Brave Murder Day (1996)

Kyuss – Welcome to Sky Valley (1994)

Nuerosis – Through Silver in Blood (1996)

Slo Burn -Amusing the Amazing (1996)
